Age and Dementia Inclusive Communities

With funding from the Life Changes Trust, Age Scotland’s Early Stage Dementia Project has been looking into what makes a community age and dementia inclusive. There are lots of different definitions of what an age and dementia inclusive community is, with many focusing on health outcomes.

As part of the project, we wanted to investigate the links and potential differences between age and dementia friendly communities. We evaluated the policies of local councils and spoke to older people's groups across Scotland, including a sample of Age Scotland member groups and Life Changes Trust funded dementia friendly communities

You can read our full report with our findings about what makes a community age and dementia friendly.
