Support and training for community groups and services

With around a quarter of a million military veterans in Scotland, and almost half of them aged 75 and older, the veterans’ community is one that no older people’s group and service can afford to ignore.

We can boost your confidence and capability for working with and supporting older veterans and their families.

A veterans warm welcome

Spring 2020 Free Training Roadshow

This spring, the Age Scotland Veterans' Project is joining with the Age Scotland Dementia Training team to deliver a series of free joint workshops on dementia awareness and older veterans’ awareness around Scotland. Workshops so far are planned for Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Prestwick, Hawick and Inverness in March and April.

Details and booking here

The Veterans' Project also offers stand-alone learning sessions for staff and volunteers in community groups and services to boost their confidence and ability to support older people who have served in the UK armed forces.  We can come to you and deliver either a short presentation or a longer workshop.  For more information email veteransproject@agescotland.org.uk or call 0333 323 2400.
