Age Scotland Training

Dementia / Older Veterans’ Awareness Spring Training Roadshow

Age Scotland has had to take the difficult decision to postpone our spring training roadshow as a result of the precautions in place for the Covid-19 outbreak. This means that the following dementia / veterans’ awareness training sessions will not go ahead:

Edinburgh – 23 March

Glasgow – 26 March

Aberdeen – 1 April

Prestwick – 2 April

Hawick – 22 April

Dornie – 28 April

Inverness – 30 April

We will reschedule all these sessions when it is safe to do so.  However, given that this may be some time away, we wanted to offer an alternative way of taking part in the training sooner. We are going to run a series of video-conference versions of both the dementia awareness training and the veterans’ awareness training in late April and May.   This will be open in the first instance to people who have booked onto one of the training dates before 17 March 2020, who will we contact individually.  However if possible we will open the opportunity to others.

If have not previously registered but are interested in training by video conference, please email dementiatraining@agescotland.org.uk.  People who haven’t done if before are often pleasantly surprised by how easy and enjoyable it is. All that’s needed is a laptop / computer / tablet / smartphone and an internet connection. We do the rest!
