Receptionists wanted

Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin is looking to recruit volunteers to help our friendly reception team in Shrewsbury.

We are looking for volunteers to help out in our busy reception at Mardol Gardens on Monday and Tuesday afternoons. The role involves handling telephone calls, directing enquiries and carrying out general reception duties.

Volunteers are encouraged to come forward if they can spare three or four hours once a week, have customer service experience, are computer literate and have a friendly manner.

Hazel Hignett, Office Administrator of Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin, said: 'We have a wonderful team of volunteers helping on reception, but we are looking for more support during Monday and Tuesday afternoons. It is a very rewarding role as very often we are the first point of contact for many older people and their families seeking information and advice.'

Full training and on-going support will be provided and expenses reimbursed.
