As an independent local charity working in Somerset and North Somerset, we lead teams of staff and volunteers to provide information and services that promote wellbeing and independence, adding value to later life.

We are now looking for someone to join our Toenail Cutting Service as a Toenail Cutting Assistant.

Are you free to work for potentially a few hours per month?

Toenail CuttingOur Toenail cutting service works in conjunction with the Somerset NHS Foundation Trust Podiatry Service, helping older people who are no longer able to hold toenail clippers or bend down to reach their feet. 

Contract: Variable hours

Days of work:  Anticipated schedule of work expected as below

Location:        Street – Mondays & Thursdays – twice a month

Location:        Wells – Wednesday once a month

Rate of pay:  £8.87 per hour plus extra £1.29 for each hour worked which equates to holiday entitlement

The post is mainly based in a community setting but with some home visiting required.  The ability to work unaccompanied with initiative is essential. This is a customer facing role and experience in dealing with people and familiarity of a healthcare environment is an advantage.  Full PPE is supplied as the safety of staff and clients is of paramount importance.

Appointment to this post is subject to a criminal records check with the DBS.
