A rare opportunity has arisen for the vital position of a Helpline Officer based in our Kendal Office to act as the first point of contact for older people requesting support from Age UK South Lakeland.

Our Helpline deals with a significant number and a wide range of enquiries both via telephone and in person, and as such this exciting position will be fast paced, varied and ultimately very rewarding!

Case Officer

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday 9am-4.30pm. Part time considered.

Salary: £23,314 - £27,609 per annum, pro rata

Our Team of Case Officers deal with a significant number of requests for support, and as such this exciting position will be fast paced, varied and ultimately very rewarding! This position offers opportunity for progression and development with the organisation for the right candidates.

Based in our Kendal Office, with daily travel around South Lakeland to undertake Home Visits so own car is essential.
Five weeks paid holiday per year, plus public holidays. A health benefit scheme and pension scheme is available for staff after completing a probationary period of six months.

Store Associate

Hours: Full-time; 35 hours per week over 5 days over 7 (Mon - Sun).

Salary: £20,820 per annum pro rata

We are currently looking for a Store Associate to join our team with responsibility for covering two of Age UK South Lakeland's charity shops across South Lakeland. This roles is based in Kendal. The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting with the management between our Finkle Street Shop and our newest shop on Shap Road In Kendal. 

This role will involve training volunteers, stock management, and other tasks necessary for our shops' smooth day-to-day operation.

Finance Administrator 

Hours: The position is Part time, up to 28 hours per week (days to be agreed with successful applicant)

Salary: £22,604 to £24,078 per annum pro rata.

Age UK South Lakeland are looking to recruit a Finance Administrator to assist with the smooth running of our Finance department in our Kendal based office. Working knowledge of Sage 50 accounting software is desirable.

The successful applicant will be working closely with the Finance Manager to ensure purchase invoice records are kept up to date and accurate for reporting deadlines.
Liaising with suppliers where required, resolving discrepancies, and processing remittances.
Working with all departments to ensure all expenditure is authorised in accordance with procedure.
Keeping customer and supplier information up to date in Sage.

Driver/Store Associate

Hours: Full-time; 35-hours per week. Part-time option also considered.

Salary: £19,048 Pro Rata.

We are currently looking for a Driver/Store Associate to to support our charity superstore in Ulverston. The role involves both supervising the day-to-day operations of the store and helping with the collection and delivery of items which are bought or donated by members of the public.

The post is based in Ulverston. The role will be varied and will include good customer service, the delivery and collection of stock, and shop supervision in the absence of the store manager.

Due to the nature of the job, you will need to be fit and active to be suitable for this role. A full clean driving license is essential and you must have the confidence to drive a Luton Box Van. Due to insurance requirements you must be over 25 years of age.
