About our centre

We have facilities to provide residential and respite care to older people in the local community and living within Southern Staffordshire. We have a total of six bedrooms, four of which have ensuite facilities. Two rooms have access to a shared bathroom facility with walk-in shower.

Each room has its own TV, retro radio, wardrobe, dressing table and all other items of furniture required during one’s stay. One bedroom which is allocated for respite care is specifically designed to meet the needs of individuals whose physical disabilities may require higher levels of care to ensure that their daily activities are maintained and met. If you decide you would like to access our centre as a permanent resident we will be more than happy for you to use some of your small items of furniture, pictures and ornaments to make your room have a more familiar feel.

We have a beautiful secluded garden providing a peaceful and private environment to enjoy fresh air and outdoor activities. We also have a large garden pavilion which has a snooker table and a relaxing seating area. Outside we have a putting green, pool area and vegetable patch.

What is respite care?

If you are a family carer or friend, you may need some timeout from looking after the person you usually care for. This could be for a family holiday, a family event or just a well-earned rest. Respite care offers support and accomodation in a safe and welcoming environment. Care is provided by highly trained, compassionate staff who all hold a current enhanced DBS certificate. People who have accessed the centre for a respite care break in the past have commented that it has stimulated conversation on the return home and has helped everyone concerned feel ‘refreshed’ and able to continue in their caring role.

What is residential care?

We offer more permanent care for people who are no longer able to live at home because of their increasing health needs. We aim to encourage and sustain independence while providing the highest quality of care required in a safe, homely environment. Each individual has a personal care plan and our fully trained, qualified and committed staff are available twenty four hours per day to support needs, interests, and daily routines. Rooms can be personalised to give that ‘Home from Home’ feel.
