Connect 2020 an exciting new project to get people connected!

At this difficult time, many vulnerable and older people in our communities are feeling more socially isolated than ever before with increasing worries this might have on their mental health and wellbeing.

In response to this Age UK Stockport in partnership with O2 have worked together and launched a new project at speed called ‘Connect 2020’. The project has delivered brand new smart phones to some of our most isolated and lonely clients. The phones are state of the art touch screen devices that have been set up ready to use with WhatsApp, internet access and all the usual smartphone features, all of which is supported by a 3-month pre-paid sim card courtesy of O2.
