We are proud to have been awarded both the AQS and ISO 9001awards and also achieved Organisational Quality Standards for local Age UKs in England.
In May 2015 Age UK Surrey’s Information & Advice Department achieved the Advice Quality Standard (AQS). This quality mark is for organisations that provide advice to the public and have demonstrated that they are easily accessible, effectively managed and employ staff with the skills and knowledge to meet the needs of their clients. Age UK Surrey’s Information & Advice Department is pleased to have met the demanding requirements of the AQS quality mark and have been assessed as providing a high quality service. The AQS is owned by Advice Services Alliance and the assessment process is independently managed by Recognising Excellence. AQS standard holders must be audited every two years.
The ISO 9001 award is a quality management standard which demonstrates our ability to consistently provide products and services that meet the needs of our customers and other relevant stakeholders and deliver them with a consistent high level of service.
Organisational Quality Standards:
Our achievement of the Organisational Quality Standard recognises the high standard of our performance as an organisation. It certifies that we are a well-governed and effective organisation committed to the wellbeing of older people, our staff and volunteers and to working in partnership with others. The Standards are externally assessed by industry leaders SGS and endorsed by the Charity Commission.
