Norman joined the Board of Age UK Sutton in February 2020. A qualified Internal Auditor, he spent 40 years in the financial services sector, starting at the Bank of England before transferring across to the Financial Services Authority and subsequently its successor the Financial Conduct Authority.
As an experienced Internal Auditor, Norman has a wealth of expertise in audit practice, risk management, quality assurance and corporate governance.
Norman has undertaken a number of volunteering activities which include being a: School Governor; Debt Councillor; Church Treasurer; and Schools Admissions Panel Member. He is currently a Board Trustee of the Benhilton Granfers Association and is also an Appropriate Adult supporting vulnerable adults and minors in police custody.
As a resident in Sutton for over 30 years, Norman is passionate about his community and looks forward to being involved in delivering the vision that Age UK Sutton has for the older residents in the Borough and ultimately making a real difference to the lives of older people in Sutton.
