Vaskor Basak is a co-opted member of the Age UK Sutton boardA resident of the London borough of Sutton for over 25 years, Vaskor was elected to the Board of Trustees in November 2018.

After studying Mathematics with Management at Imperial College, London, he qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant in 2004 and gained experience in the construction and security sectors, as well as working in Central Government and a short spell at an accountancy practice. He currently works in a manufacturing business on finance, IT and infrastructure projects management.

Vaskor has a wide variety of interests including singing with the London School of Economics choir and playing the piano as well as working on unsolved problems in Mathematics and Physics, computer technology and coding, and investments.

He is looking forward to working with staff, volunteers and the board of trustees to help Age UK Sutton make a lasting positive impact on the lives of older people in the Sutton area.
