Knit tiny hats and help raise money for Age UK Sutton. It's a fun project to be involved in, and particularly great for first-time knitters and crocheters!

Big Knit hats

The Big Knit is a joint campaign between Age UK and innocent drinks to raise funds to help vulnerable older people. In over a decade of the Big Knit, knitters have raised over £1.9 million to help older people stay warm and well in winter.

2017 was the first year Age UK Sutton took part in the Big Knit.  We had a target of 2000 mini-hats, but the generous support of the knitters and crocheters of Sutton meant we smashed our target, ultimately sending 3925 tiny hats to innocent, and raising almost £1000 of vital funds to support the services we deliver here.

Make a hat pledge

Big Knit hats

We are looking forward to a bigger and better Big Knit next year. We're eyeing a 5000 hat target which will raise more than £1000 for us, so we can continue to support older people in Sutton, and improve later life in the borough.

Help us smash next year's Big Knit by making a pledge to knit hats - be it 50 or 500! Make an individual pledge or as part of a knitting group.

You can pledge by emailing comms@ageuksutton.org.uk with the number of hats you are pledging. Or make a public pledge on social media: tag us on Facebook or Twitter (@AgeUKSutton) with the number of hats you or your group is pledging.
