We're a local charity working in the community to support older people, their families and carers. We want everyone to be able to love later life.
Who we are
Age UK Trafford is an independent local charity. We've been working in the local community to help older people for over 40 years. We have 25 dedicated staff and over 90 volunteers helping us to deliver services and activities for older people in Trafford.

Our main office and activity centre is based in Urmston and we have one of charity shop in Trafford.

How we are funded
We rely on your support to keep serving the community. We are supported by donations and legacies from the public, income from our charity shops, and some charitable grants and contracts.
What we do

We give advice
Our trained advisors offer free information and advice to older people and their families. Each year our advisers helped local older people to claim over £500,000 that they were entitled to.

We offer dementia services
We offer support and advice to people with dementia and their families.

We help prevent falls
We offer a falls prevention service for people over 50 in Trafford.

We provide activities
We have a wide range of activity groups and events, such as lunch clubs and exercise classes, giving older people the opportunity to keep fit, socialise, or learn a new skill.
