Living with Cancer
The Macmillan Cancer Support Programme is being run by Age UK Wakefield District, in partnership with Macmillan, to provide for patients who are 50 and over living with breast, colorectal, prostate or gynaecological cancer.
We can provide you with support if you are....
- struggling to manage significant life changes
- socially isolated
- lacking social and community support
- in need of information or advocacy
How the programme works....
Our Support Worker will visit you in your home, on a one-to-one basis, to make an assesment of your needs and provide appropriate support which could be:
- practical advice
- emotional support
- financial advice

- Ask your Nurse/Doctor/Key Worker to make a referral to the service
