Our voluntary Board of Trustees lead the work of Age UK Walsall

Our Trustees are:

  • Mrs Sam Jordan - Trustee
  • Mr Mushtag Hussain - Trustee

The Board has overall responsibility for the work of Age Uk Walsall by:

  • Overseeing the governance of Age UK Walsall
  • Establishing strategy
  • Overseeing the achievement of the strategy
  • Contributing to the leadership of Age UK Walsall

The responsibilities of the Board are to:

  • Ensure that Age UK Walsall operates within its Memorandum and Articles of Association and all relevant charity and company legislation
  • Manage, review and develop Age UK Walsall's governance and constitutional arrangements (including working to maximise the effectiveness of the Board)
  • Set Age UK Walslal's strategic objectives
  • Provide leadership to ensure the strategic objectives are met
  • Ensure proper control and management of Age UK Walsall
  • Monitor the performance of the Chief Officer
  • Exercise overall control over Age UK Walsall's financial affairs and protect its assets
  • Make decisions and carry out its duties at all times in the best interest of Age UK Walsall, in accordance with the charity's aims and values.

We are keen to expand our existing Board due to recent retirements.
