Age UK Wandsworth

At Age UK Wandsworth we can offer an emergency food parcel delivery for Wandsworth residents over the age of 60, who have 2 days or less of food and no means of getting any.

The food parcel is largely long-life foods but we do try and accommodate dietary requirements on medical or culural grounds.

We can also offer telephone befriending for anyone over the age of 60 who is suffering with social isolation.

Our Information & Advice and Handyperson service are also still operating but prioritising those requiring urgent help.

Wandsworth Council

Wandsworth Council has set up a hub to co-ordinate the support being offered by the council and Wandsworth’s voluntary organisations during the Coronavirus pandemic.

It is a first response for residents, particularly those people who are elderly and/or vulnerable without support networks, who need support to access medical/care services and food supplies. It is designed to help those most in need stay safe and well while they self-isolate at home.

You can contact the Community Hub on 020 8871 6555 or by email at

Community Groups

There are many community groups that have been set up in Wandsworth to support residents in different areas. Wandsworth care alliance has put together a useful directory of all the groups that are offering support. This is being regularly updated.
