Our Information and Advice Service aims to improve the quality of life of older people and their carers through the provision of independent advice and support. We currently have one full time Adviser and have now received funding to recruit an additional part-time adviser to add capacity to the service and help to deliver an inclusive information and advice service which meets the needs of older Wandsworth residents and in particular, older Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic residents who speak English as a second language.

Purpose of the role: 

  • To deliver an information and advice service to Wandsworth residents, particularly Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic residents who speak English as a second language.
  • To liaise with partnership agencies effectively to reduce duplication and increase the range of channels for accessing information and advice.
  • To enable local older people to identify and access benefits, health and social care; and other services.

Salary:                              £28,206 per annum, pro-rata
Hours:                              18 hours per week (6 hours, X3 days a week between Mon to Thurs)
Contract:                          Part-time, fixed term for 1 year, in the first instance
