Regular Outings for those unable to go out alone

Out and about service

Out and About trips could include:

  • A walk in a local park
  • One-off shopping trips
  • An outing to deal with personal business, for instance to the bank or hairdresser
  • Doctor’s and dentist’s appointments
  • A trip to the cinema or a coffee shop

The service, which is free, offers customers greater choice and independence, increasing their capacity to deal with their own affairs and to go to where they want at a time to suit them.

If you would like to be referred to the service or to request a trip if you are a current client, please call

0208 877 8940 between 10am - 4pm. Alternatively email:

New volunteers are always welcome. You can offer time on a weekly or occasional basis. Car owners are encouraged to apply! All volunteers are trained on handling a wheelchair.

For more information on becoming an Out & About volunteer, please see the Volunteering Opportunities  or call 020 8877 8940.
