Trustee Profile: Lesley Toole

Published on 13 February 2020 09:33 AM

We're currently recruiting dedicated and passionate individuals to join our Board of Trustees.

As part of this process, we wanted to introduce you to our current Board and share a little more information about their background, interests and skills.

Third up is Lesley Toole, who has been a trustee for around twenty years:

“I was born and raised in West Cumbria and was encouraged to become a trustee for the charity around twenty years ago. During this time I have seen the organisation grow and develop. There have been some good and tough times, but what has kept me going through it all is the hard work and dedication of our staff and volunteers. Each one of them gives their time to provide vital support to the older people in Copeland and Allerdale who need it most. Prior to my retirement I worked in the financial sector for many years, skills I am able to bring to my role as a trustee. Outside of my volunteer work I enjoy walking, reading and being with my family. I’d urge anyone thinking about becoming a trustee to get in touch, not only will you be giving something back, but you’ll get to work alongside a vibrant and dedicated staff and volunteer base.”
