Hours:                                   35 Hours per week

Salary:                                  £24,500.00 - £26,500,000 (depending on experience) per annum including London Weighting plus up to Pension Contribution

Term:                                     Until 31st August 2018, contract may be extended subject funding.

Age UK Westminster is an independent charity supporting the over 50s in aspects of later life including, loneliness, isolation or poverty, by providing support and vital services to help people accept and adapt to later life and enjoy it.

We currently have a vacancy for an Information & Advice Coordinator within the Information and Advice Team. The successful applicant will provide Welfare Benefits advice and assist with the completion of benefit claim forms for clients and their carers through a combination of home visits, appointment and telephone.

You will work closely with the Westminster City Council Joint Teams Benefits Officer based within the Home Care Charging team to ensure smooth running of all service offered by Age UK Westminster as part of the Westminster Advice Services Partnership and able to monitor evaluate and report on a regular basis.

To be considered for this position it is important you have at least 1 years’ experience of working in advice and information in a paid or voluntary capacity and in-depth knowledge of welfare benefits and experience of the lives of older people. Also, be flexible, ability to work in multi-disciplinary team, excellent communication skills and a caring attitude towards vulnerable housebound people is required.

Volunteer Coordinator (Part Time) required

Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 (Pro-Rata) Per Annum (Inclusive of London Weighting), plus up to 5% contributory pension

CONTRACT: 12 Month’s Fixed Term

HOURS OF WORK: 21 Hours Per Week (3 days per week)

HOLIDAYS:  The holiday entitlement is 28 working days (Pro-Rata) each calendar year.

Age UK Westminster are looking to recruit a dynamic, skilled individual to take on our new Volunteer Coordinator position. 

The Volunteer Coordinator will work on a part time basis, taking ownership of the organisation’s volunteer recruitment activities and overall volunteer management. 

The coordinator’s primary focus will be expanding the organisation’s volunteer recruitment capacity and improving volunteer maintenance. 

They will also be responsible for managing our older volunteering scheme, which provides accessible volunteering opportunities for older people in our local community. 

We are seeking an individual with excellent interpersonal skills, who will make sure that our volunteers feel supported and valued within our organisation. 

The ideal candidate will be a strong team player, and have previous experience of recruiting/managing volunteers and working with older people. They must be comfortable with processing volunteer applications, online DBS checks and delivering induction training.
