Support older people to learn basic computer and mobile phone skills to help them connect online with their loved ones!

Age UK Westminster is running digital inclusion sessions in the borough to teach older people online skills such as online shopping, emails, using social media, and much more. The digital inclusion project helps to reduce participant's feelings of isolation, loneliness, and improves their physical and emotional wellbeing.

As a Digital Support Volunteer, you will spend as little as 1 to 2 hours a week sharing your basic digital skills with a client who wishes to gain knowledge in using a digital device loaned to them for a 6-week period.  You could be showing them how to set up their first email address and send an email, use the camera on their smart phone to take photographs or even perform a google search to find a particular service or activity online.

You don't need to be a computer genius; you just need patience and be able to teach others what comes naturally to you when using a phone or a computer.
