Arun District Manager

37 hours per week. Salary £26,000 - £28,000 per annum dependant on experience.

Due to retirement, we are currently looking for a manager to run our centre and clubs in the Arun area. The Laburnum Activity Centre, Bognor Regis is a vibrant and busy centre for people who love later life. With over 1000 members we are looking for someone to develop the membership base, activity programme and venue hires. We also have community clubs in the Littlehampton area to develop. With proven experience of team management to lead our committed staff and volunteer teams, the successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Community Activities to develop all aspects of the centre and clubs. The successful candidate will be empathetic to the needs of older people and the services Age UK West Sussex provides.

Community Support Worker

Maternity Cover 6 Months, 16 hours per week. Salary £8,320 per annum, based at Durban House 

This role will provide access to practical support to vulnerable people where a specific need exists.The purpose is to engage directly with clients to provide one-off, time limited practical support to access sources of support available within the local area. The successful applicant will be part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering a range of expertise including health and social care to enable people to make any changes in their lives or make informed choices necessary to resolve their issues.

You will need to have a full driving licence and use of a car.

Cook, Adur Community Clubs

10 hours per week over 2 days; Tuesday in Shoreham and Thursday in Sompting 9am - 2pm. Salary £8.25 per hour

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised individual to cook good quality, home cooked food at our lunch clubs. You will need to have some experience of cooking commercially, with knowledge of food hygiene regulations. Needs to be a car driver.

Bank Take Home and Settle/Relative Support Coordinator

Responsible to    Manager Hospital Services

Hours of work  -     Up to 7.5 hour shifts, with 30 minute break on a bank / cover basis, 10am – 6pm, Monday – Friday
Saturday 10-3pm

Based in    St Richards Hospital Chichester

Purpose of the job:    Provide additional cover for absences to co-ordinate the Take Home and Settle and Relative Support service.   
 
The team of Take Home and Settle Co-ordinators provide vulnerable people with the support they need to return home safely rather than be admitted to hospital due to a lack of support at home. Our Clients are people who live alone and do not have immediate support at home.
We collect patients from the discharge lounge:
•    take them home,
•    maybe do a bit of shopping on the way,
•    settle them at home checking heating and other facilities are working
•    ensure they have eaten
•    make sure they are comfortable
•    notify network of support they are home
The successful applicant will need a practical approach, good people skills and will require a full driving license and use of a car.

We have extended this very successful service to include a service for those clients who decide their best option is to have aids and adaptions to their existing home or to move but they do not have the network of support to enable them to realize their preferred housing solution. The support provided will include help with paperwork, accessing professional services and supporting the client to move from one home to another.
Community Support Worker, 32 hours per week
Salary £15,558.40 per annum 
Based at County Hall North Horsham

Help at Home - Home Helpers required

This position is a self employed role, you advise us of your availability, and will be responsible for your own Tax and National Insurance payments. We especially need home helpers in Bognor Regis, Chichester and Selsey areas, and also the Crawley and Mid-Sussex areas.  Hourly rates of pay vary from £10-£14 depending on area worked.
