Information about how Age UK Wiltshire and partner organisations in Wiltshire are supporting people in the weeks ahead. There are links at the end for more information and advice about Coronavirus and Covid-19. This page will be updated regularly.

How we are supporting our clients

In light of the increasing risk of infection from Covid-19 and the Government statement yesterday we are taking the following action.

  • Our Information & Advice service is closed to face to face enquiries (drop-ins and appointments) with immediate effect
  • Our Fitness & Friendship Clubs are suspended until further notice
  • Home visits will generally cease but may be offered on a case by case basis
  • Our Home from Hospital service will continue and staff and volunteers will be given PPE and advice and guidance on how to keep themselves and their clients as safe as possible.
  • Our Community Meals service, providing a hot daily meal for older people, will continue as we anticipate increased demand over the coming weeks.

The people we support are in the most vulnerable groups and we need to protect them from the risk of infection, along with our staff and volunteers. We will be continuing to provide support and social contact by phone.
