Since the start of the Coronavirus pandemic, Age UK Wiltshire staff and volunteers have come together to provide support and guidance to older people who need our help now more than ever. Each week we are making reassurance telephone calls to isolated older people who may have little or no contact with the outside world during this time. We have started sending out a weekly newsletter to around 450 older people to provide them with something tangible to focus on. We are now making daily deliveries of hot meals to around 50 older people who may not otherwise have one.
However, we can't do this alone. We need the help of our local communities so we can continue to provide this support to the older people of Wiltshire and Swindon. Everyone can get involved and make a contribution. Here are our suggestions how you could help.
