When does the service operate?
Meals can be delivered at lunchtime on every day of the year, including Bank Holidays and even Christmas Day.
How can I request the service?
You can call our team on 01793 279606 or email them at firstname.lastname@example.org and request to join the service. They will need to complete a short assessment with you or a family member or friend over the phone to make sure that the service is suitable for your needs. Once it has been confirmed that the service is suitable for you and assuming we can fit you in to one of our delivery routes, you can start receiving meals within 24 hours.
How much does the service cost?
Meals cost £6.50 per day for a main meal and dessert. Unfortunately the cost can't be reduced for just a main meal as the delivery costs are still incurred.
How can I pay for the service?
Payment is made monthly in arrears for the days on which a meal has been delivered. You can pay by direct debit, credit or debit card over the phone by calling 01793 279606 or by bank transfer.
How often do I have to have a meal?
You can choose which days you would like to have a meal delivered. However, because of increasing demand, we may have to prioritise customers who require more support and would like to order meals for three or more days a week.
When are the meals delivered?
Meals are delivered at lunchtime, usually between 11:30am - 2pm. We aim to deliver your meal at the same time each day. If you need to have a meal delivered at a specific time because you take medication or have a carer coming in, speak to our team on 01793 279606 and they will do their best to accommodate you.
Can I choose which meals to have?
We operate a rolling three week menu and each day there is a choice of 4 main meals and three desserts. However, if you don't like any of the choices on offer on a particular day, we may be able to provide a different meal if you can let us know in advance.
How do I submit my menu choices?
You can submit your menu choices by email to email@example.com or by calling the team on 01793 279606. If no one is available, you can leave a message with your name, address and menu choices.
How far in advance do I have to submit my menu choices?
You can submit your menu choices at any time up to the day before we deliver your meal. If you want to change a meal choice, you can let the team know up until 9am on the day of delivery.
Can I change my order?
You can change your meal order up til 9am on the day of delivery by calling our team on 01793 279606. If no one is available, please leave a message with your name, address and the changes to your meal selection. You can also email the team at firstname.lastname@example.org
What are the meals like?
The meals have been designed for older people and are produced in Wiltshire by an external team of chefs, dietitians and nutritionists. Portion sizes are less than one would get in a pub but the meals are nutritionally balanced and fortified.
Can I just have a main meal?
Yes! You don't have to have a dessert. However, our minimum charge will still be £6.50 as we still incur the costs of delivering your meal.
Can you accommodate dietary needs?
We can provide meals to accommodate dietary restrictions such as diabetes, food allergies, texture modified meals and dietary preferences such as vegetarian or vegan diets. Speak to the team on 01793 279606 to see if they can accommodate you.
