An Evening of Companionship 20 September

Published on 22 May 2018 10:13 AM

An Evening of Companionship 25 AprilAt Age UK Wirral we like to bring people together, supporting those who may feel a little lonely and isolated to make new friends and engage with the wider community. We are always thinking of exciting ways for people to meet up and our ‘Companionship Evening’ is a brand new idea designed to support single mature people to meet others in the same position.

We are looking for people to attend our Companionship Evening on Thursday 20th September 2018 at Gusto Restaurant in Heswall. The venue offers a safe, welcoming environment and a pleasant Italian atmosphere in which to enjoy a delicous meal in good company.

Due to ill health, life changes or even bereavement many people have given up socialising in this way and as a result may lack the confidence to socialise in new situations. In dining with us at Gusto there will be Age UK staff on hand to welcome you and put you at ease so no-one feels uncomfortable. Forget awkward silences, this event will be a warm and positive experience for all involved. It is a great opportunity for us at Age UK Wirral to bring single people together in the hope that, friendships are forged and people are able to access a wider social circle to help combat social isolation and improve future lives.

If you are interested and would like to either book your place or find out more about this event, please contact Claire, Lorraine Nandu or Kelly on 0151 488 7805.

We look forward to hearing from you!
