Published on 19 March 2018 10:35 AM
The Light Cinema in New Brighton is showing dementia friendly films, usually on the second Thursday of the month. The next film will be An Affair to Remember starring Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr.
Afternoon tea is served on arrival at 12.30pm, courtesy of Iceland and Prezzo New Brighton. The film starts at 1.15pm. There are no ads or trailers so the film starts promptly; lights will be left on low and customers are welcome to move around as necessary. The excellent singer Lilli Moore will lead a singalong during the inteval.
Age UK Wirral will be there to help and support the event.
Tickets cost £5 (including afternoon tea) with free admission for carers. The screen is on the ground floor close to all facilities and there wil be a 20 intermission with entertainment.
There will be feedback opportunities during and after the screening, where audience members can give feedback and make suggestions for future films.
