Staying safe information guide

No one wants to feel unsafe, especially when we’re in our own homes. Unfortunately, as we get older, we might start to feel a little less safe, whether that’s because of mobility issues or feeling more vulnerable to scammers. Our guide can help to put your mind at ease.

This guide suggests things you can do to feel safer – around your home, when you’re out and about and when you’re online. It covers:

  • boosting security around your home
  • fire and electrical safety
  • safety in taxis and on public transport
  • what to do if you receive a suspicious email.

It also includes a glossary of important digital terms to help you feel more confident online.
