Frequently asked questions

Can you give me an idea of costs?

Handicare’s prices start from around £5,000, which includes installation, rubbish removal and a 12 month installation warranty. The exact price will depend on the product and the layout of your bathroom. The simplest way to determine what the exact price will be is to arrange a free, no obligation home survey.

Is government funding available?

You may be eligible for government support to purchase your bathing solution. It is recommended that you contact your local authority to find out further details. Please note timescales from one area of the country to another may vary and this is a means tested service.

How do I know a Handicare bathing product will be suitable for me?

When Handicare assess your bathroom the surveyor will go through a series of questions to find out not only your current needs and requirements, but what might be beneficial in the future. This process ensures that when your product is installed it is ideal for your bathroom and your specific needs.

What does a home technical survey involve?

A Handicare surveyor will visit to discuss your needs and to identify which products are most suitable for you and your bathroom – now and in the future. The visit and technical survey will take 60-90 minutes, is completely free and without any obligation to buy. At the end of the appointment, we'll provide a written quotation and information on the products discussed.

Is there a guarantee on the bathing product?

All shower trays, enclosures, doors and walk-in baths are supplied with a manufacturers product guarantee (please ask an adviser for further details). All ancillary equipment (for example shower chairs, light and heating fittings) and installation work is guaranteed by Handicare for a minimum of 12 months.
