Age Cymru is the new force combining Age Concern Cymru and
Help the Aged in Wales. Age Cymru is a member of the Age UK family.
Ageing Well in Wales is a programme which promotes healthy living in Wales through investment in community groups and health enhancing programmes.
The Age Cymru “Active Ageing and the Five Ways to Wellbeing” conference which was held on 23 January 2013 at the Village Hotel in Swansea was was a huge success despite the inclement weather conditions (snow).
This exciting conference looked at how the Five Ways to Wellbeing approach (as developed by the New Economics Foundation) can be applied to active ageing, encouraging a holistic approach to activity and positive social, community and intergenerational engagement for older people in Wales.

What is an Ageing Well Volunteer?
Key to the success of our Ageing Well programme are the Ageing Well volunteers who are trained and deployed to offer support to people of a similar age, gender or cultural background.
