Help Around The Home (The Just About You Service)

The rate for domestic services is £25.00 per hour, with additional charges on bank holidays. The minimum chargeable period is 1 hour, thereafter time is charged in 15 minute blocks. Mileage incurred as part of the assignment, i.e. for shopping, is charged at 45p per mile. We try to avoid parking charges, but where unavoidable these will be charged at cost. Clients are invoiced monthly in arrears, with payments to be made via direct debit.

Age UK Isle of Wight's Just About You (JAY) service provides friendly, trustworthy support workers who can help with everyday tasks, get you out and about, or simply offer companionship and reassurance.

Whether you need regular weekly help, occasional support, or a little extra assistance during a difficult time, we'll work with you to create a service that fits.

4. Shopping — with you or on your behalf

How It Works

fter you get in touch, a member of our team will visit you at home to talk through your needs, preferences and suitable visiting times. We'll then match you with the right support worker in your area and agree a schedule that works for you. There is a one-off assessment fee when starting the service, and we'll always make this clear before anything is arranged.
