HR & Payroll Coordinator
Age UK Lincolnshire is an independent local charity – a brand partner of Age UK – supporting more than 6,000 people every month, making a real difference to people’s lives. We are looking for a HR & Payroll Coordinator to join our team.
- 35 hours per week
- Lincoln office‑based
- Salary: £26,374 per annum
- Permanent contract
- Standard hours: 08:30–16:00, Monday to Friday
- Option to work hours over 4 days and benefit from a four‑day working week
We are looking for a highly organised and detail‑focused HR & Payroll Coordinator to join our HR team in Lincoln. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, thrives on accuracy, and wants to play a key role in supporting both HR operations and the full monthly payroll cycle.
In this dual-function role, you will be the first point of contact for HR queries, support recruitment and onboarding, maintain accurate employee records, and coordinate key employee lifecycle processes. Alongside this, you will take ownership of running our end‑to‑end payroll each month, ensuring all payments, deductions, statutory requirements, and reporting are completed accurately and on time.

Skills Needed for the Role
- Strong payroll processing skills, including handling multiple pay elements, statutory payments, and pension administration.
- Solid administration skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in data entry, reporting, and compliance tasks.
- Confident use of Excel, including data manipulation, reporting, and troubleshooting errors.
- Good working knowledge of UK payroll legislation, tax codes, auto‑enrolment, and GDPR requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
- Organisational and time‑management skills, able to prioritise tasks and meet strict deadlines.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn, including keeping up to date with regulatory changes and new systems.
