On behalf of Age UK Sheffield staff and volunteers, we thank David for his longstanding commitment and dedication to the charity and to older people in Sheffield.
About our charity
Age UK Sheffield is a completely local and independent charity which provides information, advice, services and resources to people aged 50 and over in Sheffield.
We also have a trading arm, Age UK Sheffield Enterprises, which donates its profits to the charity.
We have links to the national Age UK charity, and other local Age UKs, but we are completely locally based, and governed by Trustees who are based in and around Sheffield.
Our Chief Executive is Teresa Barker.
Our current Chair is Lisa Whitworth, who was appointed Chair of Age UK Sheffield in December 2025.
With 36 years’ experience in the banking and finance sector, Lisa brings a wealth of expertise, passion and influence to Age UK Sheffield. She is deeply committed to ending loneliness and poverty among older people in Sheffield, and to empowering them to live their best lives in the best possible health.
