It's estimated that over 16,000 older people in Sheffield feel lonely, with over a third considering the television their main source of company. With your support Age UK Sheffield can continue to be a vital lifeline to older people across our city that would otherwise be alone. So whether you’re taking on a running challenge, hosting an office bake off, or offering a helping hand at existing events, your support really matters to us and makes a huge difference to the lives of older people living in your community.

14th May 2017 - Leeds http://www.yorkshiremudrun.co.uk/
"The Yorkshire Mud Run obstacle course is designed to push you and your mates physically & mentally – this isn’t just an obstacle event or boring mud run, it had great reviews in 2014 and will be aiming to build on this in 2015 with even more obstacles and unique challenges. Our course is designed by ex British Army soldiers and they have set the course to challenge every entrant and team but still be within the capabilities of newbies and even beginners who relish a challenge and love having fun no matter how long it takes them (It’s a Mud Run NOT a Mud race- unless of course you want to beat the course record)."
5th August 2017 - The Lake District http://www.totalwarrior.co.uk/enter/
"Total Warrior cranks it up several notches so you need to be prepared for the ultimate test of stamina, strength and determination. With 30 punishing obstacles in each of its three locations. Total Warrior prides itself on offering greater variety and more obstacles-per-kilometre (or pain-for-your-pound) than any other race out there. So, if you want to avoid falling at the first giant hurdle, don’t forget the upper body training. And do bring a change of clothes to wear with your free finisher’s T-shirt at the after-party because your going to get a bit muddy. A big bit muddy."
24th September 2017 - Asda Foundation Sheffield 10K http://www.runforall.com/10k/sheffield/
"It's back. Following it's debut in 2016 the much talked-about Asda Foundation Sheffield 10K returns on Sunday 24th September. Thousands took part in 2016, and it's set to be event bigger and better in 2017 so save your place now. Staged in partnership with Sheffield City Council, this 10K has a fantastic course right through the heart of the Steel City."
