Slip into Slippers
UN International Day of Older Persons, or Older People's Day, is on 1 October each year. Age UK Solihull is marking the day with a range of activities to raise funds and awareness so that we can continue to be here for older people in Solihull who need us.
Get involved
We are inviting you to take part by wearing your slippers for the day on or around Thursday 1 October, and making a donation to Age UK Solihull.
All funds raised will stay in Solihull to help us provide advice, companionship and practical support to older resients of the Solihull borough.
You can take part in Slip Into Slippers with your school or work colleagues or as an individual! Wherever you are on Older People's Day, give your feet a treat and wear your slippers for the day (as long as it's safe to do so)!.
Please let us know if you are planning on taking part in the campaign by completing the form below. We will send you a free Fundraising Pack with ideas and tips to help you raise as much as possible!
How to get your funds to us
Thank you for thinking of raising funds for Age UK Solihull for Older People's Day!
Whether you are donating as an individual or collecting as a group, there are several ways you can send your funds to us.
-
Online
Donating to our JustGiving page is quick and easy, and means your donation is automtically added to our Older People's Day campaign total.
You can donate directly to the page, or if you are fundraising as a group, school or workplace, you can set up your own fundraising page linked to the campaign by clicking the orange "Start fundraising" button and following the instructions. Then you will be able to see your group's donations on their own page and they will also be added to our overall Older People's Day total.
