Age UK Wyvern is an independent charity committed to enhancing the lives of older people. As a local partner of the national Age UK organization, we focus on providing high quality services tailored to the needs of our community.

Our services range from dementia support to home assistance, aimed at fostering independence and improving the well-being of older adults. We are funded through public donations, income from our charity shops, and grants. Our shops play a vital role in funding and connecting with the community.

Role Overview

Hours of work: 37.5 hours (5 days over 7 days) (some weekend work included)

Salary: £12.95 per hour

Location: Leominster, HR6 8ES

  • Manage the day-to-day retail activities of the shop ensuring that it is both attractive and welcoming at all times.
  • Manage the day-to-day financial activities of the shop ensuring that all monies are banked and accounted for in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure that the shop is adequately staffed at all times.
  • Ensure that the staff (including volunteers) and premises are compliant with all relevant policies, procedures and legislation.
  • Liaise with the general public, local traders and any other relevant party in a manner likely to enhance and further the work and reputation of Age UK.
  • Remain up to date with relevant developments in the retail / charity retail industry.
