With a growing older population, Age Scotland and the Scottish Older People’s Assembly are calling for every local authority to establish the role of Older People’s Champion and appoint a councillor as a Champion.

Older People’s Champions are the links between local authorities and the older people they represent. Their role is to amplify older voices and make sure the needs of older people are being recognised.
