Twilight Gears is a community project which aims to reduce social isolation and end loneliness, by getting groups of older people together to work on fixing and renovating donated bicycles - giving them the opportunity to meet new people, use their skills (and learn new ones!) and enjoy a task which fulfills them.

Age UK Kent Rivers are hoping to end loneliness by getting groups of older people together to work on fixing and renovating pre-loved bikes, have a good chin-wag and do something really great for our charity at the same time.

All repaired bikes are checked over and sold to raise money for Age UK Kent Rivers. Volunteers who work on the project can fix up a bike for themselves for free, so that they too can have access to this far more healthy and sustainable form of transport.

We are currently partnered with Paramont Foundation for community support in this programme.  If you have an old bicycle you would like to donate, skills you would like to share, or are keen to learn new skills, get in touch with us today.
