Volunteer role description

Our Ageing Well Centre in Farnworth is a busy place. When we are open and activities are running, there are lots of people passing through the doors, so we like keep the outside areas looking clean and tidy. There is a small car park to keep tidy and trees and shrubs which need occasional trimming. We also have a small gated area with bins, lower floor windows and signage that require a regular clean. Some weeks there may be more to do, some less.

What you'll be doing

• Litter picking and keeping the car park and outside areas tidy on a weekly basis, with some occasional weeding
• Keeping the gated bins area clean and tidy
• Supporting with regular cleaning of our lower floor windows and signs
• Replenishing leaflets in the centre as required

As there is an element of health and safety involved in this role. We would provide you with any PPE, gloves or cleaning equipment required. You will also need your own owork clothes, suitable footwear and warm clothing.

We're looking for someone who...

• Enjoys spending time outside
• Has some experience of maintaining plants and shrubs
• Enjoys making outdoor areas look presentable

Time requirements

Flexible hours; 1-2 hours per week.

Days: Tuesday AM/PM, Wednesday AM/PM, Thursday AM, Friday AM
