New Beginnings Support Worker  

Part Time 8 hours

Salary £14,225 pro rata

Fixed term contract for 6 months

We currently have a part time vacancy for a Support Worker at New Beginnings Day Service, based in Withywood. 

The hours are to be worked on a Monday from 8.00am to 4.30pm.  

As a Support Worker, you will be working alongside the Senior Support Worker to deliver a range of activities that are person centred, promote the independence of older people, and support older people to and from their homes.  Ideally, you will have some experience and knowledge of the issues facing older people living with Dementia.

Bristol Ageing Better (BAB) is a partnership of organisations and individuals working together to reduce isolation and loneliness among older people across Bristol and help them live fulfilling lives. We create an environment in which our partner organisations can deliver effective services, share their knowledge of what works, and be noticed by decision makers. The partnership is led by Age UK Bristol and has been awarded £5.9million from the Big Lottery Fund. Programme delivery started in April 2015.

We are seeking an individual to work closely with the Programme Manager and delivery partners to capture and share the evidence and learning from individual BAB projects and the programme generally.  

We are looking for a person with excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail with some experience of capturing learning from community-based projects. This is a varied role in an exciting programme that would suit someone with an interest in working closely in a team to improve the lives of older people in Bristol.
