Wales Against Scams Partnership (WASP)

WASP is a coalition of police forces, police and crime commissioners, Trading Standards, banks, utility companies, local government, Age Cymru and the Older People’s Commissioner for Wales and is the first venture of its kind in the UK.

The group’s aim is to make Wales a safer place for vulnerable people by working as a partnership of organisations that can influence change in areas where scammers currently operate. This includes on the doorstep, by phone, by post and online.
You can find out about how to protect yourself from scams by reading a copy of the Age Cymru booklet, Avoiding Scams, which you can view online or pick up a copy from one of our offices.

Partnership ForumChair of the National Social Services Partnership Forum

We are looking for your views on how older people can access information and advice in the future. As well as turning to Age Cymru partners such as ourselves, we are interested in whether you would approach other people in your community.
If you have a view, please complete this short online survey. It's very quick and completely anonymous.
Many thanks

Volunteers for Toenail Cutting urgently needed!

A most necessary and needed service for those people of 50+ who can no longer cut their own toe nails.

Keeping mobile is really important! Volunteers help their clients to understand the importance of hygiene and exercise in looking after their feet, as well as keeping their nails trimmed and healthy.

Volunteers are trained by the Podiatry Department of Hywel Dda University Health Board and are covered by our insurance.
