Over recent years Age Cymru Gwynedd a Môn has secured funding from the Armed Forces Covenant and The Veterans Foundation to support local Veterans and their families / carers during the challenging times we have faced.  The bi-lingual services we as a local charity currently provide include:

  • The provision of information and advice, and where appropriate signpost individuals to specialist Armed Forces organisations
  • The provision of social and wellbeing opportunities from our Cartref Bontnewydd building (LL54 7UW) and from our Hafan Café Bangor (we can also signpost individuals to social and wellbeing opportunities in Gwynedd and Anglesey that are provided by partner organisations including in the Holyhead, Pwllheli and Bethesda areas)
  • We are currently also working with key Armed Forces and Veterans organisations locally to establish additional social and wellbeing opportunities including in the South Gwynedd area

We also offer the following paid for services:

  • Providing hot meals delivered to the home, and also items such as medication and food essentials
  • Providing personal care, shopping service, a sitting service to assist carers

If you require further information regarding these services and/or would like to volunteer for us to assist with providing these worthwhile services, please contact Age Cymru Gwynedd a Môn by calling 01286 677711 or email bethan@acgm.co.uk
