Older people's forum

Forums of older people are organised to give older people an opportunity to let us know their concerns.

The forum of older people meetings are held bi-monthly and last around two and a half hours. A light lunch is provided from 12pm prior to the start of the meeting at 12:30pm until 2:30pm.

Forum members tell us about the issues that are important to them for example, public transport, chiropody service, care services and health services. We are then able to invite the appropriate organisation/services who give information to members.  This is where members are given the chance to make a difference and have their say.

Their views can be carried to people of influence, who are able to bring about changes.  It is not just about receiving information it is also a chance to contribute.

Anyone who is interested in joining the forum is welcome to come to the meetings, details and registration forms can be obtained by contacting us.
