Glen Vue Dementia Services believe that with the best care and support, people can live well with Dementia.

We are delighted to announce that our doors will now be open 3 days a week:

Monday 10am to 1:15pm

Wednesday 10am to 3pm

Thursday 10am to 3pm

All days to include lunch in our dining area.

Our aim is to provide a personalised service for each user, getting to know their story, to support ‘good memories’ that help them feel valued within the group. We will support this through a mix of art therapy, interactive games, use of technology and of course music, along with gentle exercise supporting physical and mental health. Underpinning all this is dialogue, encouragement from staff to develop conversation thereby supporting confidence and reducing anxiety levels, promoting a sense of well-being.

It is well known that East Grinstead has few services available to Carers of those struggling with dementia and other life changing conditions. Age UK East Grinstead & District recognises there is a real need within our community for effective and robust support.

Embedded within our Service is support for the Carer. We welcome and encourage conversation, active listening and giving of emotional and practical support. We have the resources and connections to refer to appropriate services and offer follow up calls. Carers will feel supported knowing their loved ones are in a safe, friendly and stimulating environment.
