Lucy Bracken (Chair)
Lucy joined as Chair in October 2011 to oversee the continued development of Age UK East London. A Health Professional, Lucy brings her experience of living, working and funding services in Hackney to the board as well as a dynamic positive attitude to change
Dr Mary Flatley
Mary offers the Board her experience of current Health Developments and her research skills. Mary currently works in a local hospice and also brings up to date knowledge of developments within end of life care and support for older people.
Mark is a 30 year qualified solicitor specialising in charity law and governance. He was head of legal and company secretary for Age UK (and formerly Help The Aged) for 9 years.
He brings a wealth of knowledge of the voluntary sector with expertise in trustee boards and governance of charities. He has great experience of the needs and opportunities for older people.
Glyn Kyle MBE
Glyn is a board member of London Travel Watch and an independent committee member of a large housing association with concentrations of stock in Tower Hamlets and Newham.
He has a longstanding interest in older peoples' issues and, at the end of 2013, completed a successful maximum term in office as Chair of Age UK London.
As a current finance professional within the NHS, Jazz plays an active role in ensuring the organisations finances are appropriately managed with both charity and company legislation. Joining from the Newham Board and a local resident, Jazz offers experience in developing financial governance and leadership
As a former senior director of the British Library and a trustee of various trusts, including those of Shakespeare's Birthplace and a local East London health charity, he brings senior management and board-level experience. A long time East London resident, he is currently Chairman of the Guild of St Bartholomew's Hospital.
As a former accountant from the financial services industry, Kevin joins Jazz on our finance committee leading on financial oversight within the organisation. As a Bow resident and former member of the Tower Hamlets Board, Kevin has actively promoted changed during his tenure.
Pippa is a communications professional who has worked across the public and private sectors. She has extensive experience in strategic planning and business development and has advised care and service providers on branding and reputation as well as issues and crisis management. She brings local and London-wide community, political and stakeholder engagement experience to the Board.
Adrian is an experienced HR professional having worked at a senior level in the third sector, local govenment and the social housing sector. Currently working with various charities in an HR role.
Emma brings experience of service user involvement in health and social care services and of community-led research. From her work she brings a knowledge of health and social care policy and of good practice in supporting volunteers.
