What does being a Pride of Place advocate involve?

By signing up as a Pride of Place advocate, you’ll be signalling your commitment to improving the neighbourhoods in your ward or division for older people.

When you have signed up, Age UK will work with you to:

• Help you publicise your commitment locally
• Put you in touch with our local partners, if you are not already
• Provide a check list to help you get started on improving neighbourhoods
• Offer bespoke training on neighbourhood issues for older people
• Offer mentoring from an advisory council of experienced councillors and council officers

I'm not a councillor. Can I be a Pride of Place advocate?

Our advocates scheme is only open to elected local councillors, but everyone can join the campaign and take action - find out more
