Can I sign up more than one person on the registration form?
Yes. Just add the required number of tickets to your order.
Can I sign up a team?
Yes. If you are signing up the team initially, you’ll need to choose the create team option on the second page of the form and choose a team name. You can choose to make this team public or private. Fellow teammates will need a password if you choose to make your team private.
How do I join a team?
Your team leader should have already created your team on our form. You will have the option to join this team on the second page of the form. You will need to know the team name and use this to search for the team. Check with your team leader as to whether you need a password to join.
How do I sign up a junior?
Parents or guardians need to complete the Junior Dash form on behalf of their junior. Simply select Junior Dash entry on the application form. Juniors and the parent/guardian paying must read the terms and conditions.
Can I run with my junior?
No, juniors must run alone. The route is fully marshalled and juniors are supervised into the finishers pen where parents/guardians must meet their child.
Are there prizes for juniors?
Yes, there are trophies for the top three girl and boy finishers. All junior finishers get a medal and cotton t-shirt.
How do I enter as an elite?
If you plan to run in sub-30.30 for men and sub-36 for women, please send your details (name, DOB, Vet category if applicable, club and email address) to our elite entry manager, Rob Cameron on abbeydashelite@yahoo.com.
Proven finishing times must be verified on power of 10 within 12 months of completing. Rob has final say on elite entry qualifications.

When will I receive my race pack?
Race packs will land 2-3 weeks before the event and contain your unique running number with bibtag timing chip attached, a sponsor form and a race booklet. Juniors also receive their race packs at the same time.
Do I need to register on the day?
No! You simply need to be wearing your race number complete with timing chip to start the race.
Can I sign up to the Abbey Dash on the day?
No, we don’t operate on the day entry and we close online entry when our capacity is reached.
I signed up to the event but can no longer take part. Can I get a refund/transfer my place?

I can no longer run. Can my friend run in my place?

What are the timings on the day?
- 8.55am: Wheelchair race starts
- 9am: Warm up
- 9.10am: Junior Dash starts
- 9.30am: Main 10k starts
- 9.45am: Wheelchair and Junior prize presentation in front of the Town Hall
- 10.30am: Prize presentation in front of the Town Hall
Are there baggage facilities available?
Yes, we host baggage tents for 10k participants that are located on Victoria Gardens and Cookridge Street near the Town Hall. Your race booklet will contain more details on the baggage tents allocations.
Are there toilet facilities?
Yes, there are toilets at the start site and limited toilets at the finish area.
Is water provided?
Yes 330ml water bottles are provided at the 5k mark and at the finish.
Are there changing facilities available?
No.
Is there car parking available?
No car parking is provided by Age UK but there are plenty available in the city centre. We recommend Wellington Place or Woodhouse Lane.
What do I get?
All finishers get a technical t-shirt, water and snack on the finish line. Unfortunately we are unable to give medals too. Feedback from our runners from a survey taken earlier this year was that technical t-shirts would be preferred.
Are there prizes?
Yes, there are cash prizes for top 10 female (gun time), top 10 male (gun time) and first place in the VET categories (chip time). There is also a prize for fastest team (chip time) and top fundraising team.
An individual will receive the highest value award to which they are entitled. An individual will only be entitled to one prize, other than as a part of a winning team. All prizes will be posted to winners after the race results have been verified.
Can I run with a buggy or dog?
No, for health and safety reasons, this isn’t permitted.
