Recycle your unwanted IT equipment and donate the proceeds to Age UK

You can dispose of your IT equipment safely and easily, while helping us fund our vital work.

How to donate

Donating your unwanted IT can be done through the RDC (IT disposal and recycling) website in 3 simple steps:

  1. Create your order - select the items that you wish to donate from the online list. All you need to know is your IT equipment make and model and working condition. You'll receive an instant valuation of how much your equipment is worth.
  2. Send your items for free - package your items and then drop them off at your nearest Collect+ store, where they will then be sent to the nearest authorised recycling facility.
    >> Find your closest Collect+ store.
  3. Complete donation - Once completed the money will be sent directly to Age UK on your behalf. Don’t forget to gift aid your donation, so we can claim a further 25% of the donation amount from the government at no extra cost to you.

What IT equipment can I recycle?

You can recycle desktop PC’s, laptops, computer monitors and tablets. You can choose from hundreds of makes and models, which can be easily found on the RDC website.

What happens to my IT equipment?

RDC will test your equipment: if it's working successfully then it will be reused or resold; for failed or obsolete items, parts will be re-used and materials will be recycled, with nothing going to landfill.

All data will be wiped to government approved standards. Data destruction is performed without accessing the data contained on your computer.

How can my donation help Age UK?

By donating your old computers to RDC, Age UK will receive the full amount shown on your evaluation. Money raised will go towards our vital work both nationally and locally.

We believe that we can help everyone make the most of later life. We do this by inspiring, supporting and enabling in a number of ways.
