Welcome to fit as a fiddle‚ a nationwide programme that championed physical activity, healthy eating and mental wellbeing for older people.

The fit as a fiddle portfolio was funded by the Big Lottery Fund as part of the Wellbeing programme‚ and delivered £15.1 million worth of projects across all nine English regions.

fit as a fiddle hosted innovative projects promote healthy ageing‚ based around the needs and ideas of local people. Programmes were run in partnership with regional and national organisations.

fit as a fiddle also had strong links with different national activity and wellbeing programmes for older people, with which it shared ideas, networks and inspiration, including Age UK’s Ageing Well programme. The projects were delivered regionally by over 400 community organisations, including local Age UKs.
