This course raises awareness of a range of common illnesses and diseases often encountered in care and community settings and offers advice on how to care for those with such illnesses and diseases in their client group.
The course covers:
- diabetes, types signs symptoms and risk factors
- heart disease, risk factors, prevention and care
- stroke (CVA, TIA), risk factors, aftercare
- epilepsy, causes, risk factors treatments, care
- influenza, colds, treatments, infection control
- common skin infections including psoriasis, eczema, fungal infections
